Due to the high number of donation inquiries and offers that George Eastman House receives, we cannot accept unsolicited donations.
If you have object(s) that you believe would complement the Museum's collection and would like a curator in the Department of Photography to review your property, please contact William Green, Curatorial Assistant, Department of Photography, via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you do not have access to e-mail, you may call (585) 271-3361 ext. 377. In your correspondence, please include the following information on your object(s):
- Digital images of the object(s), preferably a high quality jpeg file.
- Information on the object(s) maker, date of creation, medium, dimensions, and provenance.
- Any other applicable details that you believe our curators may find helpful.
If the department's curators are interested in pursuing your object(s) further, you will be notified and asked to bring them into the Museum or mail them to us for examination. Following our review of them, a curator or collections manager will contact you about the next steps in our acquisition process.
Finally, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for thinking of George Eastman House as a possible home for your property.
