Members’ Movie Night: Liv & Ingmar (2012)

On Wednesday January 8, 2014 at 8:00 pm in Dryden Theatre

Members are invited to a free movie once a month, chosen by our curatorial staff. This month, it's the documentary Liv & Ingmar (Dheeraj Akolkar, Norway/UK/India 2012, 89 min., DCP) from the Muses series.

About the Film
Dheeraj Akolkar's poetic documentary traces the intense romantic relationship between Swedish actress Liv Ullmann and Ingmar Bergman, one of the world’s most renowned cinematic auteurs. Ullmann offers intimate access into the nature of their relationship, which began on the set of Bergman's Persona and continued, in some fashion, throughout the rest of his life. With Ullmann's ruminations and Bergman's personal letters and memoirs, Akolkar weaves an incredible love story with an illuminating look into one of film history's most significant pairing of talents.
